Colored glass filters are optical components that control incident wavelength by distributing an optical absorbing substance in glass.

A Neutral Density filter allows a photographer to control the exposure in an image very easily. Ytterbium-doped Potassium Gadolinium Tungstate (Yb:KGd(WO₄)₂, Yb:KGW) crystal is an excellent laser gain material, boasting numerous advantages over the widely used Nd³⁺-doped materials.
