Rod Lenses are used for fiber coupling and laser diode beam shaping, lenses with a 0mm working distance are ideal for collimation of single and multi-mode optical fibers and laser diodes because the lens can be positioned and glued directly to the emission source. For focusing applications, or in instances where the lens can’t be in direct contact with the emission source, all lenses are available with a small working distance as well. The dichroic mirror is a mirror with significantly different reflection or transmission properties at two different wavelengths, it’s characterized by almost complete transmission of light at certain wavelengths and almost complete reflection of light at other wavelengths. It can be widely used in Laser technology applications.

Non-Polarizing Cube Beamsplitters also called NPBS Cube is a more sophisticated type consisting of two right- angle prisms cemented together at their hypotenuse faces.The cemented face of one prism is coated. Before cementing, with a metallic or dielectric layer having the desired reflecting properties, both in the percentage of reflection and the desired color. The absorption loss to the coating is minimal and transmission and reflection could be designed to 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, etc.
