Rod Lenses are used for fiber coupling and laser diode beam shaping, lenses with a 0mm working distance are ideal for collimation of single and multi-mode optical fibers and laser diodes because the lens can be positioned and glued directly to the emission source. For focusing applications, or in instances where the lens can’t be in direct contact with the emission source, all lenses are available with a small working distance as well. Plano-convex circular cylindrical lenses are useful for line imaging or uni-axial magnification in a wide range of applications. These lenses may be combined with other lenses to form complex imaging systems.

Waveplates (retardation plates or phase shifters) are made from materials which exhibit birefringence. The velocities of the extraordinary and ordinary rays through the birefringent material varies inversely with their refractive indices. This difference in velocities gives rise to a phase difference when the two beams recombine.

Laser Line Mirrors are used for beam-steering in demanding laser applications. Laser Line Mirrors are Optical Mirrors that have been designed for specific laser types or wavelengths.

Beamsplitter Cubes are constructed by cemented two right angle prisms.  The hypotenuse of one prism is coated with polarization dielectric coating.

HGO grows Ho:YLF laser crystals using Czochralski technology. Ho:YLF is a very attractive laser material, because the lifetime of the upper laser level is much longer ( ~ 14 ms) than in Ho:YAG and the emission cross sections are higher. Additionally the thermal lens in Ho:YLF is much weaker, which helps to generate diffraction limited beams even under intense end-pumping. The primary advantage of directly pumping the Ho 5I7 is that it does not have to depend on energy transfer, which lends itself to various radiative and non-radiative losses. Up-conversion losses that have deleterious effect in high-energy Q-switched lasers are eliminated.

Plano-concave rectangular cylindrical lenses provide uni- axial negative imaging for anamorphic beam expansion and a wide range of applications.These lenses may also be used as mirror blanks if a concave cylindrical surface mirror is required.

CaF2 or Calcium Fluoride is a cubic crystal with an excellent transmission from 130 nm to 10 μm and has widespread applications as transparent windows in the ultraviolet and infrared spectra.
